Windows Security Hardening

We are implementing Windows Security Hardening across all workstations managed under our Remote Management and Monitoring (RMM) and Vulnerability Management Service. This initiative strengthens your systems against evolving cyber threats.

What is Windows Security Hardening?

It is the process of configuring Windows to minimise vulnerabilities by applying a secure baseline that:

  • Disables outdated, insecure protocols
  • Enforces modern, industry-standard protocols
  • Removes local administrator rights from standard accounts
  • Rotates unique local administrator passwords daily

The objective is to reduce the attack surface and protect against unauthorized access, malware and data breaches.

Key Benefits

Combined with our other services that we offer; Vulnerability Scanning, Microsoft 365 security management, Patching, Endpoint Protection, and Human Risk Management, this layered approach delivers comprehensive protection.

Windows Security Hardening is closely aligned with our ongoing vulnerability scanning, where we identify and remediate application flaws on devices. By also ensuring that standard user accounts do not hold local administrator rights, we significantly strengthen both the operating system and applications, reducing the risk of compromise.

Do You Need It?

Yes! If you are an RMM customer, no action is required—these measures are being deployed automatically. Most changes occur silently in the background, ensuring continuous improvement of your security posture.
