Zero Day Threat to Microsoft Exchange

We have been alerted to a zero-day threat for the Microsoft Exchange email system and have acted upon our customers’ behalf to address it.

Who is affected?

Anyone with an on premise Microsoft Exchange Email Server.

What are the risks?

The attacker would need an account authenticated with the Exchange Server in order to carry out the attack, so the risks are lower, however if compromised the potential damage caused could be high.

What have we done to address the exploit?

We have implemented the recommended mitigation to protect the affected customers from exploit and we will install the security patch from Microsoft, via our patching and monitoring service, when it is released.
