How does it work?
At Connect we create a security baseline which is based on the CIS Benchmark Framework, we then review customers’ 365 platforms against this baseline to see areas which are vulnerable.
You can also assess how secure your Microsoft 365 and Azure deployments are using the Microsoft Secure Score. We recommend a score of around 70 to 80 out of 100; anymore and it can become too restrictive and impact work, any less and you are vulnerable.
What are the benefits?
At the heart of the 365 Security Management Service is continuous monitoring and regular assessment of the security baseline. New threats are being released and new vulnerabilities identified all of the time, and so new security features are being developed to counter said threats. As Microsoft 365 deployments are being used/modified all day every day, it’s important to check that customers are still compliant from a security perspective throughout the year.
