Critical Security Vulnerability – Veeam

What do I need to know? Veeam has a critical vulnerability which has high impact if compromised, however it’s lower on the risk scale as the attacker would already need a foothold on the network or a route through to your backup server remotely via a TCP port (this would likely be blocked by your firewall). What do I need to do?

If you are a Connect Systems Patching and Monitoring customer you don’t need to do anything as the vulnerability is being dealt with, however if not and you use Veeam as your backup solution, updating to the latest versions of Veeam 11 or 12 will fix the issue; previous versions are not supported by Veeam and will not be patched.
